Business Continuity Plan Summary
This is a summary of the Advantage Futures LLC (“Advantage”) Business Continuity Plan (the “Plan”). The Plan sets forth how Advantage will respond to significant disruptions affecting Advantage business and outlines steps to:
- protect employees and property;
- meet obligations to clients and exchanges;
- establish communications with clients, employees, vendors and regulators;
- enable Advantage to resume operations.

Overview of Business Continuity Plan
In the event of a significant business disruption, Advantage will assess the impact of the disruption and plan to recover and resume operations as quickly as possible. The Plan addresses the following areas: (1) data back-up and recovery; (2) mission-critical systems; (3) financial and operational assessments; (4) alternate communications between clients and Advantage; (5) alternate communications among Advantage employees; (6) alternate physical location of employees; (7) critical vendors and business contacts; (8) regulatory reporting; (9) communications with regulators; and (10) ensuring Advantage clients have prompt access to their funds and securities regardless of whether Advantage can fully maintain business operations.
In the event of a business interruption in which Advantage relocates to its business continuity site, Advantage clients will have uninterrupted access to their funds and/or securities. Advantage, with redundant data centers and technology resources, anticipates clients maintaining continuous access to their account information (including positions), order entry systems, and movement of funds. Clients may contact Advantage for information regarding their accounts during a business interruption at the telephone number and email address listed above.
Varying Disruptions
Business disruptions may vary in scope. For example, a disruption may affect only Advantage, the building in which Advantage is located, the business district where Advantage is located, or an entire city or region. Disruption impact may also vary from minimal to severe. The breadth and severity of the disruption will impact the steps taken by Advantage. If a disruption only affects Advantage and is minimal, Advantage may conclude it is unnecessary to transfer operations to another location. If a severe disruption affects the entire region, it is more likely Advantage will attempt to transfer its operations to a site outside the affected area.
